I was privileged to capture Natalie and Steve's pregnancy at their maternity shoot in February, so it was lovely to visit them a couple of months later, at home in Maidstone - to photograph their new baby son Ronnie! Ronnie was a perfect 10lbs 5oz when he was born, and he is probably the most content baby I've ever photographed. I'm always prepared for unsettled newborns who just want to be fed and cuddled for the duration of a shoot, that's kind of the norm and I don't really expect anything less - so photographing Ronnie, was quite a different experience :-)
Natalie and Steve live several floors up in a beautiful new block of apartments - even on a dreary and snowy March day, light flooded in and filled the space which was perfect for a newborn lifestyle shoot. The couple followed my advice and chose complimentary outfits in muted tones which were comfortable and look great in their photos. Natalie had some sweet outfits ready for Ronnie and chose a crisp white swaddle from my collection to wrap him in for a few of the shots.
I loved meeting and photographing this lovely family and hope to capture more special family memories for them when Ronnie is a bit older.
