Kent Wedding Photographer

Rob and Esther's wedding took place on a warm September's day, it was a joy filled day from start to finish! While I do love travelling around the country for weddings, it's always great to photograph a wedding in my own county. I've photographed quite a few of Esther and Rob's friends' weddings, and they've all been brilliant - so when Rob contacted me about photographing his wedding, I knew it would be great and a lovely chance to catch up with previous couples!

I met Esther at her family home in Tunbridge Wells, Kent where I captured her getting ready with her bridesmaids. I love this part of the wedding day - all the anticipation and excitement, it's an intimate and special time and I feel honoured to be around to document it all.

I usually aim to get to the church about 20 minutes before the bride is due to arrive as this gives me a chance to meet the Groom's family and take some photos before the service. Esther and Rob's wedding service took place at St James' Church, Tunbridge Wells which is Esther's home church and also happens to be where various members of her family have been married over the years!

Their marriage service was a wonderfully uplifting celebration which reflected their Christian faith and involved many of their close friends and family members. After the service, the whole congregation was invited to enjoy a cream tea in the church hall. Esther's Mum had baked over 100 scones herself!

Following the cream tea, we headed back to Esther's parents' home in the countryside for drinks and canapes on the lawn. The neighbours welcomed all the guests and the bridal couple with cheers and flag waving, enjoying their own glasses of bubbles, it was very sweet!

The views from the garden were beautiful and the surroundings provided a lovely relaxed vibe and a gorgeous backdrop for photos!

The afternoon was filled with amazing food, games, great speeches and even a brief power cut!

Esther, Rob and I snuck off before dessert to take some couple shots in the surrounding fields and pathways, we were treated to a stunning golden hour and Rob commented at how nice it was to slow down and take some time out.

Esther and Rob, it was such an honour to photograph your big day! Thank you for making me feel so welcome and for being amazing! I'm looking forward to seeing you at a couple of weddings this Summer!!
