Maternity Photographer, Canterbury

Back in the Autumn, I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely growing family! I love it when clients come back to me and it was exciting to capture this little guy one year older, and soon to be a big brother! We met in Westgate Gardens, Canterbury and made the most of the gorgeous Autumnal colours. I loved how Mum had chosen the outfits to tone in beautifully with the surroundings, and the knits added extra interest and texture to the images.

I often get asked when the best time to schedule a maternity shoot is. I'd usually say between 30-35 weeks but that doesn't always suit everyone and the most important thing is that you feel comfortable during your shoot. This Mum knew she'd feel more comfortable and confident at around 20 weeks and I think she looked fabulous. On the other hand, just last week I photographed an expectant Mum who had only a week to go before her due date and her photos were equally as lovely! So it really doesn't matter when you schedule a maternity session, the main thing is to have these memories of your pregnancy captured.
